But I was very surprised that my first bath soothed me with minimal to almost no stinging and began some minimal healing throughout a couple of days.

Everyone is different, so there could be many reasons for the stinging and the after itch. Is the itching during or after the shower? Maybe you're using too little or too much salt? The recommended amount of salt for a bath is 2lbs or 1kg.

Have you tried allowing the bath water to dry on your skin and not rinsing? Is there a difference?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247451730794517698.post-54130425786604090032014-02-27T18:20:08.656+00:002014-02-27T18:20:08.656+00:00thanks so much :)thanks so much :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04424208310859217699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247451730794517698.post-16763908780082836372014-02-27T18:19:19.832+00:002014-02-27T18:19:19.832+00:00thanks! one thing tho, i've found that dead se...thanks! one thing tho, i've found that dead sea salt baths sting and make me itch a lot, any idea why that is :(? xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04424208310859217699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247451730794517698.post-8645267200583361032014-02-27T11:44:06.093+00:002014-02-27T11:44:06.093+00:00Keep going , sounds like your well prepared ...Keep going , sounds like your well prepared for this and that will realy help . I was worried I would smell, but i haven't had anyone complain and I feel almost normal.

I generally avoid straight showers, or rinsing after a bath. It ends up irritating damaged skin and makes for a unpleasant time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247451730794517698.post-20751427414539192652014-02-26T22:21:41.952+00:002014-02-26T22:21:41.952+00:00thank you! the thought of nice smooth skin keeps m...thank you! the thought of nice smooth skin keeps me going :) xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04424208310859217699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247451730794517698.post-21485498772410584702014-02-26T22:13:59.574+00:002014-02-26T22:13:59.574+00:00Happy healing to the both of you!
